To get rid of kidney stones effectively you need to watch four certain parts:

- Make sure that when you go to disintegrate the stones that they move through your body as easy and painless as possible so that you don’t rip any tissues or hurt another body part.

- Make sure that all stones are safely removed from the body as easily as possible.

- Make sure that you don’t have a urinary infection.

- Watch and make sure that the kidney stones don’t come back and that the kidneys keep their normal minerals.

There are certain medicines that you can take to get rid of kidney stones. Uriflow is among one of them. They work in the manner to easily and painlessly remove the stones and to help prevent them from coming back. The process goes in this order:

Dissolving – chemicals in the formula will go immediately to the site of the stones and start dissolving the stones and the materials in it.

Flushing – after the stones are dissolved, the formula works to make it so that you have to go to the bathroom a lot more to get rid of the dissolved chemicals of the stones.

Tissue Protection – once your body has started producing more urine, the medicine works to protect the urinary system from infection or inflation by the passing of the stones.

Stone Preventing – 80% of the cases of kidney stones come back. So when the stones are eliminated, the medicine keeps materials in the urinary system to help prevent the stones from coming back and also to make sure the urinary system stays normal.

If left untreated, kidney stones can get worse.

There are four different types of kidney stones, each with its own type of treatment. You will need to know which type you have to receive the proper treatment.

Calcium-Oxalate Stones – is the most common type of kidney stones to develop. They can be caused by genetics, medicines, and other causes. If you have this type of kidney stone, then you don’t want to limit your calcium intake.

Struvite Stones – is often caused by kidney infections. It tends to affect women more than men. They can grow to be very large and painful if not treated.

Uric Acid Stones – is caused by eating to much red meat and animal protein. The easiest way to get rid of it is to stop eating so much red meat.

Cystine Stones – you can get this type of kidney stone but the likeliness of it is very rare. They are caused by cystinuria, a kidney disease caused by genetics.

You should have your doctor check to see if you have kidney stones and if so, what type of stones they are. That way you know which type of treatment you need.

It is not uncommon for kidney stones to be made by more than one of the kinds listed above. If this happens, it’s referred to as mixed stones.

The main thing that determines which stone you have is the materials that are dissolved and kept, that later combined to harden and crystallize into stones. These stones then stick to the kidney wall and stay there infecting the kidneys.

There are many remedies you can use at home to help get rid of kidney stones. They are: kidney beans, which seem to be the most effective remedy, basil, celery, apples, grapes, pomegranate, watermelon, and vitamin B 6.

Kidney Beans:

This is the most effective remedy. All you do is get some kidney beans, take the bean out of the pod, slice the pod up and put 60 grams in a pan of hot boiling water. Let it boil for about 6 hrs. After it has boiled for 6 hrs then you drain the liquid off through a muslin and let it cool for 8 hours.

After it has cooled, the liquid should be ran through another muslin. Once this is done, you can give it to the patient every two hours for one day only.

When the day is up, you need to throw away the left-over liquid because it will be too old to have any affect on the kidney stone.

Basil:

This is an easy remedy. All you do is you take a teaspoon of basil juice and honey everyday for six months.

Celery:

It’s not exactly used for getting rid of kidney stones, but if taken regularly it can help prevent them from coming back.

Apples:

This is another good remedy. Get apple cider (make sure it is unsweetened) and drink it on a daily bases until the kidney stones are gone.

Grapes:

This is an excellent cure for kidney stones because it has water, salt and low concentrations of albumin and sodium chloride which help dissolve kidney stones.

Pomegranate:

This can be used with either sweet or sour pomegranates. Take out the seeds and crush them to a fine paste. After the seeds are crushed, give it to the patient with a cup of horse gram soup (only two tablespoons of horse gram used for the soup.)

There are a few more remedies, but these seem to be the ones that work best and have been the most common chosen ones.

There are many factors in “What causes kidney stones?” One of the major cause is Lack of Water in the Body known as Dehydration. Our body is composed of 65% water, thus water plays a very important role in maintaining health in each organ of our body.

The kidney plays a very important part in the urinary system. It is responsible for filtration, absorption and excretion of waste liquid in our body in the form of urine.

A kidney stone looks like a little rock in your kidney. Stones form when certain chemicals in the body clump together. These stones can either stay in the kidney or travel to your urinary tract.

Kidney stones can be the size of a pea and pass out of the body without any discomfort. Other times they can be huge and cause extreme pain, bleeding, and blocked flow of urine.

For better knowledge and understanding, I gathered different causes of kidney stones, such as the following:

* Lack of Water or Dehydration – insufficient volume of water in our body.
* Hereditary – it means you inherited a gene from your parents that causes kidney stones.
* Location – people who live in a poor water area or in a desert do not take in the proper amount of water everyday, which is 8 glasses a day.
* Medication – there are many medications that ignite the development of kidney stones, like acetazolamide (Diamox), indivavir (Crixivan), anti-acid tablets and aspirin.
* Wrong Diet – wrong consumption of food and overeating. There are foods that are high in salts, calcium and acid. Yes these minerals have other benefits in our body, but too much of it will cause kidney stones.
* Underlying Illness – these will trigger formations of kidney stones. This includes renal tubular acidosis, cystic fibrosis and inflammatory bowel disease. If you have any of these illnesses, you will need to be careful on what medicines you can take. There are medications that will put you in high risk of developing kidney stones. If you have a history of kidney stones, it is best that you tell your doctor.
* Water Fluoridation – this is a process of adding fluoride to the drinking water. It was proven that this process can contribute in developing kidney stones due to too much fluoride present in the water.

Anyone can get a kidney stone, but it is more likely for a person who is:

* Male
* Caucasian
* Very overweight
* Have had kidney infections before
* Has a family member with kidney stones
* Have had kidney stones before
* Eats a lot of animal protein
* Doesn’t drink enough fluids

Sometimes other conditions and medicines can also put you at greater risk for kidney stones.

Kidney stones are a common problem, affecting about ten percent of people in the United States. There are different types of stones, and a variety of reasons why they form.

Doctors have grouped kidney stones into four different families, based on their chemical composition:

Calcium oxalate stones — These stones are the most common and make up for more than 75% of all kidney stones. They are more common in men than in women, and are more common in adults than in children.

In fifty percent of people with calcium stones, kidney stones form because of an increase in the amount of calcium in the urine. (which probably is inherited) For other people, calcium oxalate stones are formed by another condition such as extra parathyroid hormone, high uric acid levels, bowel disease, surgery for obesity, or kidney problems.

Struvite stones — These stones are made of magnesium and ammonia, which are related to urinary tract infections caused by certain bacteria.
Struvite stones use to account for ten to fifteen percent of all kidney stones, but now they are becoming less common because urinary tract infections are better recognized and treated.

Struvite stones are more common in women than in men and they develop mostly with people who have long-term bladder catheters.

Uric acid stones — These stones account for five to eight percent of all kidney stones and are more common in men than in women. Uric acid stones form mainly because of high level of uric acid in the urine. They often occur in people who have gout, which is a disorder where uric acid builds up in the blood and joints.

Cystine stones — These stones are rare to get and make up only about one percent of all kidney stones. They are composed of the amino acid cystine, a building block of proteins, and they are caused by an inherited defect.

Life is beautiful and we should not let any illness spoiled it. Staying healthy means more time to enjoy life.

If you love your life, you should take good care of it. Loving your body is loving your life. Live life to the fullest by staying healthy and sick free.

  Do you feel wasted? — Get It Out! Passing a kidney stone is considered one of the most painful experiences the human body can endure. Diverticulitis causes a stabbing pain in the belly, and can lead to internal bleeding, infection and death. Prostate enlargement can torment a man day and night, just as menopausal hot flashes, sweats and imbalances can destroy a woman’s quality of life. Cervical dysplasia and yeast infections plague young women, who must now also fear cervical cancer. And the medical industry says they don’t know the cause of any of these conditions, but they can schedule you for regular check-ups, sell you drugs, and perform surgery when needed. Millions of people suffer from one or more of these problems. Get It Out! explores this wasteland of disease, explaining in clear, concise language how the body works, and how our private lifestyles can get in the way of its proper functioning.
  This book covers the entire subject of urinary tract stone disease from basic sciences to medical and surgical treatment of stones with the aim to cover the entire spectrum of this disease. The surgical management of stone disease has changed considerably in the last five years and our understanding of mechanism of stone disease has improved with some old concepts discarded and newer theories gaining ground. More than fifty internationally recognised experts have contributed (with 50% from the US and 50% from rest of the world, including Europe). The book is extensively illustrated with photographs, x-rays and line diagrams. This exhaustive and complex reference work will be particularly valuable to urologists, nephrologists and non-medical scientists.
